- Law: A fundamental principle that describes a relationship between things and is generally considered unchanging (e.g., the law of gravity).
- Mechanism: The internal workings or parts that cause something to function. It's the how something works internally. (e.g., the locking mechanism of a door).
- Method: A systematic approach to achieve a specific goal (e.g., the scientific method).
- Operation: The act of performing a task or using something (e.g., the operation of a computer program).
- Phenomena (plural phenomenon): Observable events, experiences, or things that happen (e.g., natural phenomena like lightning strikes).
- Process: A series of steps that lead to a specific outcome. It's the ongoing sequence of events. (e.g., the process of photosynthesis).
- Rule: A specific guideline that dictates what is allowed or not (e.g., traffic rules). Rules can be more flexible than laws.
